Hello, My Name is...

Teri Valente.
I am a product of Youth Ministry. I didn't go to church growing up. I only started going at the end of 10th grade when my family decided to try out my best friend's church - the first church in town to hire a Youth Leader. I wasn't sure what I thought about all the God stuff but I got really involved anyway. I ended up getting baptized and confirmed the fall of my junior year... and working at Camp Arrowhead as an LTG the very next summer (we call them CIT's now). For a few years after college I was fortunate to do Youth Ministry at a church during the school year and still get to work at camp in the summers. I left camp in 2003 to do full time Youth Ministry... and now I'm back and I get to do BOTH!!
Some strange but true facts about me...
~ I grew up in Salisbury, MD and went to college in Salisbury, NC
~ My 2nd grade class won first place in the National Film Festival
~ I have been to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo
~ I can solve a rubik's cube
~ I used to be able to identify all 64 colors in my Crayola box
~ I tend to pick out green M&Ms... just because it's my favorite color
